We believe God will provide thru one of several ways to allow our people to fund these various missions thru faith. Thru money that was...

  ~unusually obtained (pay raises, bonuses, overtime, inheritance, gifts)...

  ~deliberately retained (changed priorities, fasting meals, etc)...

  ~surprisingly regained (tax refund, coupons, rebates, etc)...

  ~intentionally maintained (thru regular giving)...

Our Missions Committee has chosen a different ministry, or ministries, for our Faith Promise money to bless each month. Any and all money that comes in for Faith Promise during that month will then be given to that specific missionary organization(s) that we'd chosen to support.

MCC Missions - 2012 Projects   LOCAL (Inside SD)   Barry Bentley - Pass Creek CHOG - Allen - June A CHOG work on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.   Pastor Joe - MCC Adult Missions - October Used exclusively for adults involved in missions trips. Possibly to Nicaragua and/or Cameroon in Jan 2013.       Pastor Bruce - MCC Youth Ministry - May Used exclusively for youth involved in missions trips. In 2012...it will be used to help fund IYC and missions trip in Denver, CO.   TJ Carlson - South Dakota FCA - September This money will be used to support the Fellowship of Christian Athletes ministry not only at SDSU... but in a variety of Jr High and Sr High Schools in our area.     Dawn Twedt - My Neighbor - Brookings - December Local assistance money for people with a variety of needs in our community... an “off-shoot” of the Brookings Ministerial Organization... open to all in our area.       NATIONAL (United States)   Chuck Allen - USC - Kansas City, KS - April MCC sister church. Funds will be to help with general outreach and facility improvement as well as spiritual, emotional, and social guidance.    Sean Dunn - Groundwire - Colorado - November Christian teaching on nationwide secular radio spreading the gospel to youth as well as website crisis ministry.     INTERNATIONAL (Outside US)   Lighthouse - Church Plant/Orphanage - Africa - March Sowing seeds and reaping harvest for the Kingdom of Heaven thru education, hospitality, health and spirituality.   Jenn Neuberger - YWAM Outreach - Europe - January Megacities outreach focuses on one city of over 1 million people for a 12-month period acting as a catalyst for citywide transformation for existing ministries and new works.   Samaritan’s Purse - OCC Shoeboxes - November These funds help with shipping, handling, and administrative costs of distributing Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes to needy children around the world.   Marcus Pearson - Missionary in Nicaragua - July Will help fund continuing operations of Bible institute to train native pastors... general Gospel outreach all over Nicaragua... as well as various administrative costs.      Charlotte McPherson - CHOG Mission - Turkey - August To help continue to assist in developing ministry in this highly-populated Muslim country... as well as operating a bookstore that assists in sharing the Gospel.     Discretionary Missions Funds - February For requests which come in after budget is completed. Most often used for individuals doing short-term missions.
