Getting to Know Us...

As a denomination, Morningside Community Church is affiliated with the Church of God, Anderson, Indiana.

However, as a congregation, the people at M.C.C.
come from a variety of different faith backgrounds. Non-denominational and inter-denominational are two terms that have been used to describe us.

There really are not a lot of man-made rules and regulations that surround the Church of God, but rather just the truth of the Word of God found in the Bible.

There are no formal membership requirements in the Church of God. We believe those who have placed their trust in Jesus Christ as their Savior and acknowledged that His blood has forgiven them of their sins are members of “the” Church; a.k.a the Body of Christ!

WE BELIEVE that God so loved the world that He gave us a person... His Son, Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE Jesus is the answer to the needs of a hurting world... because He himself is the source of our righteousness, success, victory, favor, provision, healing, and much, more.

WE BELIEVE in One God... who exists in three persons... the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. We believe He is holy, loving, and just.

WE BELIEVE that the Bible is God’s Word. It is inspired and accurate. It is our perfect guide in all matters of life.

WE BELIEVE that sin has separated us all from God, and that only thru Jesus Christ can we be reconciled.

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ is both God and Man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He led a sinless life, took all our sins upon Himself, died and rose again. Today, He is seated at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Mediator.

WE BELIEVE that salvation is the gift of God to man. This gift is made possible by grace thru faith in Jesus Christ and it results in works pleasing to God.

WE BELIEVE that water baptism is a symbol of the cleansing power of God and a testimony of our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE that the Holy Spirit is our Comforter. He guides us in all areas of our lives... He leads us into all truth... He blesses us with spiritual gifts and He empowers us to yield the fruit of the Spirit.

WE BELIEVE that God wants to transform, heal, and prosper us so that we can live blessed and victorious lives that will impact and help others.
